Product Descriptions for Lemon Tree Stationery

Spring 2017

When I wrote for Lemon Tree Stationery I wrote posts and created image content for the different social media accounts. Along with the scheduled social media content, I also wrote the product descriptions for the wedding albums for their website launch.

Examples:

  • #2400 "Laser engraving isn’t just for lettering; it’s a beautiful monogram addition to this invitation set! The cherry wood, olive, and coco combination works perfectly with the floral envelope lining. This set could work for a rustic theme, an outdoor wedding, or any couple that loves nature features."

  • #2416 "Set the tone for your wedding day by sending your guests these contemporary floral invitations. The invitations are Avon White, Colorplan Dark Grey, and Coral Stardream with a Gold Metallic Foil with personalized monogram. Your family and friends are sure to be impressed with the Field of Flower envelope lining and multiple lettering decisions."

Writing for "Fashion A" Magazine

December 2015 and January 2016

In a special holiday edition of "Fashion A" Magazine titled, "Yule," I wrote two separate pieces that were published: "The Meaning of Yule" and "Finding Acceptance: Your Holiday Mom."

For the January edition, "Pride," I wrote two pieces for the magazine: "3D Fashion" and "Sustainability Through Textiles."

Due to the company's re-branding in 2016, the original website is no longer functional. Please contact me for these samples.

Writing Sample from Maghan It Work Website

Spring 2015

In 2016 the company rebranded themselves and with it, the entire catalog of fashion articles was erased. I have several other examples of my work that was published. Below is one of the short pieces I wrote.

Nick Waplington/Alexander McQueen: Working Process

By: Brianna Malotke

Everyone knows that the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit is going on at the Victoria & Albert museum in London, but most are unaware of the exhibit that’s happening alongside it until May 17th, 2015 at the Tate Britain museum. This exhibition showcases the exceptional collaboration between the fashion designer, Alexander McQueen, and photographer, Nick Waplington, during McQueen’s 2009 Autumn/Winter collection titled Horn of Plenty. McQueen recycled past silhouettes and fabrics for the collection as well as produced a catwalk made from pieces of his sets from previous collections. This partnership provides a rare look behind McQueen’s work process through the lens of Waplington’s camera. You can check out Waplington’s photographs at the Tate Britain and see how he captured the work process of McQueen and a side of the fashion world unknown to many.
