Shalimar the Clown
For Peggy's first look I did the alterations for the nightgown and the robe.
I took the nightgown in, shortened the length, and made sure it lay correctly. I shortened the robe, removed the lace waistband and gathered the new waist into the top. I also added loops for the straps from the robe and bra to go through and stay in place.
The dancers all needed to have similar lengths despite their height differences. I added trim (striped fabric) to our dancer's tunic and added length on her sleeves with the trim I had patterned, cut out, and sewn along the bottom of the tunic.
For this look Peggy is in a striped graphic navy and turquoise dress.
I cut out all the pieces needed for this dress lining them up so all the lines match and the different aspects of the pattern match as well.
Here you can see how the side seams match and the fit of the dress.
In addition to cutting I also sewed the collar and a few other parts of the dress. But because of time and priorities I didn't sew the entire dress (team work!).
